About Us

The home of friendly bowls

Founded in 1977, we take pride in being the first purpose-built indoor bowling club in the area.

With a thriving, growing membership, East Dorset Indoor Bowls Club is a friendly club offering six full length rinks equipped with electronic scoreboards, a licensed bar and restaurant. During the Winter season, we operate some 20 leagues during the week and participate in local, County, Regional and National competitions as well as many friendlies. In the Summer we offer a shortened set  of weekly league games and an Aussie Pairs competition.

New members are always welcome and we offer a comprehensive novices programme and have several excellent accredited bowls coaches for old and new member training alike.

All  club facilities are accessible and available for private hire.

Each rink is equipped with its own electronic scoreboard linked into the main scoreboard, together with two that can show external scores when inter-club matches are played at home and away simultaneously.
